John Ravera is a highly accomplished sculptor and a past President of the Royal Society of British Sculptors. Born in Surrey in 1941, he studied from the age of 13, winning several awards in his late teens. He continued his development working with such masters as Nemon and Mancini.

Best known for his public commissions, Ravera's features and fountains can be seen in city centres worldwide including London, Oxford, Lagos, Tokyo, Hong Kong and the West Indies. Many are family groups and child figures, which capture a rare spirit of movement. He also specialises in massive architectural sculptures and reliefs, both abstract and figurative. He has an impressive track record in portraiture, in both contemporary and classical styles. A true enthusiast, he accepts each commission as a unique challenge of subject, scale and material to produce individual works for each client.
